Night Supervision provides an awake staff presence in your home during standard sleeping hours to ensure your safety and well-being. At Bright Vision, we understand that needs don't stop when the sun goes down. Our night supervision team is there to monitor health, respond to emergencies, and assist with any ADLs or IADLs that arise during the night. Provided in six-hour to twelve-hour blocks between 10 PM and 6 AM, this service offers essential peace of mind for individuals and their families, ensuring that help is always just a moment away.

Every plan for this service is personally reviewed and guided by a Registered Nurse.

Eligibility

Who Qualifies for
This Support?

In Minnesota, eligibility is often determined through a combination of your health needs and program-specific criteria.

  • Individuals living in their own home or their family's home.
  • Must be enrolled in a Minnesota disability waiver (CADI, BI, DD, CAC).
  • Must have a demonstrated need for overnight staff presence for health or safety.
  • Authorized through a MnCHOICES assessment and community support plan.

Limitations & Boundaries

To provide the safest care, it’s important to understand the professional boundaries of this service:

Staff must be awake and alert throughout the entire shift.
Generally limited to 12 hours within a 24-hour period.
Cannot be provided in licensed residential settings like corporate foster care.
Service must be provided in the person's own home.
